I’ve always been fascinated by the morbid and grotesque. Listening to true-crime podcasts inspired a series of illustrations of legendarily perverse psychopaths and criminals. The illustrations mutated into playing cards and Bad Hands was summoned from the dark depths of my macabre imagination

Devils in the Details The pips are mutilated as an extra murderous detail. The hearts are splashed, the clubs, dismembered, spades shot, and the diamonds are shattered. The back of the cards feature a murder or crows pattern, naturally. The geometric kaleidoscope on the box is a array of finger bones delicately splayed around the logo.
